InDesign Potential Rough Draft

My Story
After a lot of time struggling to make different ideas come together, I decided to do my photo story on animals. My original inspiration for this was because I have been wanting to volunteer at an animal shelter around the area- just to help them out and maybe work on their personal branding to help get some of the pets adopted. I reached out to one specific place and they never got back to me, so I thought of the next best thing: going to a pet store and interviewing an employee.
I went to Friendly's Pets in Greensboro and interviewed one of the employees that seemed the most approachable. He also happened to be one of the only males who I have seen working there (I have been there many times, they let you play with the puppies and cats). I simply went up and asked if it was okay for me to ask him some questions for a project and take some pictures, and he was more than happy to help me out! Refreshing. I took some pictures while there, but I tried to focus more on the interview because I can go back whenever I want to and take pictures- he works seven days a week. This turned out successful, and I learned a lot more than I thought I would.

The Layout
So, I am not extremely excited about the layout that I currently have. I was thinking of doing something along the lines of having the facing pages be symmetrical, and I ran with that. Do I want to tweak it? Yes. I also want to take a few more different pictures- not just of animals but of the building and the surrounding area. The man I interviewed was not a huge fan of having his face be in the shots, and I totally get that, so I asked some of his employees and they agreed. I want to go back and get some more specific shots, which is detailed in my layout. I am thinking of also changing the layout, while trying to keep things symmetrical, I just need better shots first which will be obtained when I come back from easter break. Overall, I like the direction I am going in and my idea, but it needs a lot of fixing until I am satisfied.

I added notes to the layout too, so I could organize how I want my story to flow. I am basing the story on the picture placement and this is an idea that I am very keen on and will not be changing.
